| Yamia sp. koh samui, female Yamia sp. koh samui, male I'm going to try to pair these up, and hopefully this species will be a lot more common than a couple of people having them On that note, guess what I got today? I also got me a Brachypelma vagans sling Not a bad week all in all, at least spider related | |

| Didn't you say that the lividum's were freshly molted? They don't look very blue to me. Did the flash wash the color out? | |

| Well, at first glimpse they looked freshly molted, I have my doubts after looking at the pics. A bit more detail can be seen. I think the reason they aren't so blue is mostly because of their age, the smaller they are the darker they are, but I am thinking they might need a molt, which would be good if I'm going to get a boyfriend for these two. The smaller one should end up growing to be about a good five or so inches and will end up being black with a bright red butt. They are really gorgeous ones, and even though I'm not a huge fan of the Brachypelma Genus, I've been wanting one of these for a while | |

| You know that I HATE Brachys, but I do like the vagens. B. vagens is the only Brachy I voluntarily keep. | |

Always hating on those poor Brachys. What'd those slow witted little things ever do to you?

| Didn't you know Brachypelma is Latin for "crazy-a$$ hair kicker"? I swear thats how my B.klaasi greets me when I get near her tank. "Good morning little spider! Have some clean water!" "Why thank you, human! Here, have some hair!" *kick, kick, kick* I'm surprised shes not completly bald. Our Pampho is just as bad, if not worse. | |

| Amen... I have a nasty histamine reaction to the hairs, too. Break out in hives everywhere and live on Benedryll for a couple days. Ick! | |

| That's another reason I like Old World species, they may have a bit more potent venom and attitude, but you have no issues with hair flicking | |

Agreed! But I tend to like the Old World sp. that tend to stay above ground and in trees. I like to be able to see my pets. Otherwise it's like keeping a tank of dirt. LOL
