the diagnosis was liver failure, he had to have been older than we'd initially thought, previously we had been fighting to keep his kidney values up at an acceptable level. when they tried to draw blood his veins had colapsed so they couldn't get enough for a full sample, but what they did get turned yellow. so just hearing that we knew it was time. I plan to have him creamated, gonna keep the ashes.

Damn dude. I am so sorry.It seems we can form a better relationship with critters that we love. The best part is they love you back. I just feel that animals bond with you and then they sort of become part of you. I think they know that. Thats why he showed you some much with his calm 'purring' Hopefully to let you know that he knew you cared so much. So sorry but believe yall will meet at some other time place or spitit. Don't mean to go on but death can be a spiritual experience for you both.

at about 5:45pm I had the honor of holding my Sam for the last time as he was youthinized. I'm sad he's gone, but atleast he died in my arms. I only had him a short time. but he was closer to me than most humans....
