Title says it all. The maturing molt of a male Cyclosternum pentalore. He just didn't quite make it. His pedipalps appear to have gotten stuck in the molt, and probably ruptured somewhere inside there. Poor little guy. I was actually planning on shipping this guy to Serpentwoman before I found out he was male. So much potential asside from just feeling bad for the little guy

Sorry to hear that. This is why I dont keep spiders anymore. You can do everything right, and your spider dies anyway.

You're right about many species, they are hard to keep for a long time. There are some good species that are pretty hardy out there though. We could discuss it if you're ever interested in starting up again

Thanks, but I have my hands full with current animals, and I am going to be adding some orange crested geckos to my collection soon, because they will go well with the exo terra cameroon habitat kit I am going to be getting.

This was my first male, but pretty much from what I've personally see, they aren't really that fragile. I'm not totally sure why this happened, it could be a fluke. Its also possible he didn't get enough water to drink as well
