Yup sure are.There is a tree about three blocks from here that has about 200 of them nesting.. The people that have the tree have asked permission to remove the tree and replant with something else. Seems the conures have taken over the neighborhood and their tree has the most conures in it.It's cool but I have been there and it sure is noisey.The city told them they could not cut down the tree.Unlike the city that the people did cut down their tree. Those people are going to court about cutting down a bunch of trees without a permit. Seems the SPCA has gotten envolved so it's a mess. But these birds come here every day to drink from the tortoise water and eat from the neighbors bird feeder. South Fla in Winter.It's for the birds LOLOLOL. wow thats wild im sure it is noisey with them i cant understand why they cant just catch and remove the birds some where else or ship them back to there own land insted of them being killed

Oh if it were that easy.A group of bird people tried one time to catch some Red capped mexican parrots in a dudes property. Then animal rights people got envolved and all heck broke out. One group fighting another in court. No one did anything about the parrots . They are still there.There is also two nesting pair of Blue & Gold Mccaws. out near the everglades.You cant mess with them cause there are two Bald eagle nests there so the cops keep people away- 1/4 mile away. We have alot of parrots etc. that either got loose or whatever. Perfect weather you know. A shipment of African grays got loose from the Airport a few yrs. ago. They are scattered all over So. Fla.

its funny how ppl blame the animals when the real blame needs to be put on ppl for the problems of these animals they wouldnt have these problems if they stoped turning them loose its no diff from any other animal if there tossed out they have to learn to live or be eaten by other pray tho i think your right fl is a warm place for everything to grow and thrive here i dont get to see much of anything but deer or bear on a rare day i dont see parrots here i just see crows and small tiny birds thats allready wild tho i do see alot of ppls darn dogs run loose around here and there cats too and im tired of it lol and im tired of all this darn cold weather im sick of freezing my rump off lol now box me up some warm sunshine and send my way lol

How awesome it must be to see those beautiful parrots just flying around free! I'd love to have a tree full of them at my place; I wouldn't care how noisy they are. I get mostly sparrows and finches at my feeders during the winter, although there are a few cardinals that come at dawn and dusk. As far as other wildlife, there's a rabbit who lives under my shed.
