| Friday we got some crickets for Mortisha, she didn't touch a single one till late last night, lal day yesterday I was peeking in concerned that she hadn't eaten yet. then last night all od a sudden I hear ~tap tap tap~ looked over at her tank, she's standing there facing me with one leg on the glass. soon as I started watching her she ran over to the group of crickets and snagged two...yah think she was telling me to watch?? | |

| They are really cool trantulas,And I think they do have great personalities. My oldest son has one, and he has a Mexican Redleg, and a striped knee, and a Haitian pinktoed. All pretty friendly. He got to liking trantulas when he was young cause me and my old roommate had a bunch of them years ago.Melodie wont let me have any more after my last one died. |

| Cleaned Mortishas tank out today, my girlfriend wanted to scoop her into the little continer, Mortisha I guess is used to me doing this she attacked it scaring my g/f...I think that reaction terrified the two of em. she dropped thecontainer and yelped the tarantula flipped onto her back. she's ok now. she flipped right back over and I scooped her gently into her container without a problem...and I'm the arachnaphobic one. | |

| Oh my goodness! Did she do that menacing tarantula storm and shove with her front legs? My rosie and pulchra do that and its intimidating! They do it so quickly! I'm glad to hear they're both okay. I know its a bullying thing they do, and you shouldn't back down, but boy its hard when your shaking in your boots. | |

| yup yup. I'm actually a little concerned now though, since puting her back in the tank she hasn't gotten off her log, and there seems to be a clear liquid directly beneath her "mouth". any idea what that could be? she stayed on the log for the first day after we got her, so I'm not worried about that. but this liquid is new...my spider is leaking!!! | |

| Bat, dont worry about the liquid thingie. It ain't nothin to worry about.I guess you could say it's an expresion form the Tantula to show you he ain't afraid of you. Possibly thinking you don't like him. Truste I wants so much to be held. Can't tell you how to do that . But I was bitten -- once cause I was being a drunk Butt head. They will not bite you unless you show you areafraid. It feels like a Hornet-Wasp type sting. Onle some peeps hav an alergic reation and then its just a shot .. So don't worry She looks cool!! |

| It most likely is venemon, but not to be afraid of. They will do that,it's just an reaction. Let her settle down then just pick her uo between the middle legs, I wish I could show you but she will not bite if you pick her up. Just try it. then you can look at her all around. then put her back down . After a couple times she will get used to it and will except you. Hard to m do but trust me It works. Next thing you will let her crawl on you. I know . |
