ACK!! Vermin attack!!!

Got up this morning and got my cup of coffee, turned on all the lizard lights and waited for all the babies to start rising. Well, on the side of my cute little Ornate Uro, Salvador's tank, theres... things.... crawling around...

WEEVILS! I can't escape them!!! He's been on bird seed for substrate, so its safe to say that was the FIRST thing to go this morning.

So after having a coniption over the weevils, I go out to the snake room. My plan was to check all the kids, then start tearing down some tanks and do some mass rearranging. (I'm on vacation this week, so might as well be productive, right?).
As I look in on the yearlings... theres more... THINGS!
MITES!!!!! An outbreak of MITES!!!!
CRAPPOLA!

So I have been diligently, soaking snakes, changing substrates, sterilizing cages, spraying new bedding, blah, blah, blah since six o'clock this morning.

This is just so irritating... I haven't had to deal with freakin' mites for 4 years. (Nasty, icky old things)

*sigh* Just had to vent a little.

its ok allways seems like everything bad happens at once ive had a few things happen flipper got more spots and now him and nessy wont eat
so i feel your pain and aggervation
it allways drives me nuts when i end up with fruit flys every where

All I get are small flies, and gnat things going for the parrots food, then the house Gecks get the gnats. Kind of symbiotic realtions lol.Hey did your Blcke Trantula ever hatch her clutch of babies?I am thinkin of giving Zard a bigger cage and then sneaking a Trantula in on Melodie. The egg sack was bad. She tossed it two days before we were supposed to pull it out.
Dang spiders will do anything to screw things up.
